The KeyPOS solution can be configured and deployed to support many deployment options, depending on your specific requirements:
o Option 1 – Standalone Terminals
This Architecture is best suited for high volume transactional throughput stores like QSR and nightclub venues, the terminals have no requirement for a store server, data is pulled and pushed in real time to and from the data centre.
o Option 2 – Master/Slave
Like the Standalone Option above, this option also does not require any store servers but each slave terminal shares data with a designated master terminal. This deployment enables follow me, independent trading areas and area resilience. Also like the above option there is no single point of failure for the store, but the slave terminals should not exceed ¾.
o Option 3 – Store Server
This deployment option gives a single storage point for all transactional data, this is ideal for fine dining locations with money belt servers restaurant layouts and high terminal numbers. This option does offer a single point of failure for the stores transactional data but each terminal can enter into a standalone mode allowing trade to continue.
o Option 4 – Store Clusters
The ultimate deployment model for high numbers of terminals and multiple trading locations without having a single point of failure. This type of deployment gives great scalability and allows the addition of handheld terminals and other input devices.
